Anime
With a huge amount of Japanese anime being produced every year it is interesting to see how the different shows are spreading outside of Japan. Today, with the abundance of online resources like Crunchyroll or YouTube, everything is easily accessible, but when I grew up we were basically bound to watch whatever was broadcasting on the TV, and in many countries the amount of anime were limited. Since getting to know many Italians, it surprised me how they have so many memories of shows in the 80's that they had watched on the normal TV.
How was your exposure to anime and was it broadcasted on TV? Which one is your favorite show?
Doraemon - ドラえもん
Before coming to Japan I had never heard about this blue cat, called Doraemon. But he quickly became my favorite character. I loved his blue round shape, his big smile and his abundance of magical inventions. Doraemon is a robotic cat from the future who lives with his human friend Nobita. Doraemon has a pocket on his stomach where he can pull out all imaginable cool tools, or what do you think about the go-anywhere-door or the memory-bread.

In addition to my footer banner at the end of my post, I thought it would be nice to create some additional banners to be used in comments in posts of others. Lines and lines of plain text can look pretty dull, so I wanted to have the possibility to spice up my comments a bit, especially when welcoming new people or when greeting new friends. At least that was how I was welcomed by @sirwinchester when I first introduced myself to the community.
